This fast growing city in southern China, is a manufacturing centre for the region, and has become very wealthy in turn. Despite having a 2000 year history and maintaining some relics of the past, Guangzhou is primarily a commercial city. Guangzhou has become an international city in recent years, and is on par with the likes of Beijing and Shanghai. It is the epicenter for trade and finance in the southern Chinese region. Development has also come from being a port city; the harbor area is also very beautiful at night.
